Web Developer Job Description
Web developer careers involve managing day-to-day operations of websites such as adding and removing content. Site maintenance, improving website features, and development of new site additions are all vital tasks for this position.
- 3-5 years of experience in front end design for web sites
- Expert-level JavaScript, HTML and CSS
- In-depth knowledge of available JavaScript libraries and frameworks
- Experience with A/B testing
- Previous experience with optimizing performance of front-end applications
- Highly proficient with server-side scripting such as ASP, JSP, PHP
- Experience with web and server optimization and scalability
- Flash/Flex knowledge is not required, but recommended
- BA/BS in a related field required
A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a computer-related field is required for this position. Related experience and industry certification may be acceptable in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
The salary range for this job is $60,000 to $125,000. Compensation and benefits are competitive and based on background and work experience.
