System Administrators maintain and manage a computer network within an organization. They install, support and maintain servers. Knowledge of operating systems and applications is vital to this position.
This mid to senior level role is responsible for providing IT systems support by performing quality assurance processes to effectively manage system availability and improve operations. System Administrators must be able to solve problematic areas and bring resolution to difficult network issues.
The ideal candidate for system administrator positions will have experience in providing support to networks, server builds and upgrades, domain configuration and performance and tuning.
System Administrator Job Description

- Academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, or related academic area
- 3-5 years of related experience can be substituted for degree
- Experience presenting & delivering complex technical solutions
- MS, Cisco, or other Hardware infrastructure certifications are required
- Proven analytical, time-management and problem solving skills
- Strong understanding of Open Source technology solutions
The salary range for this job is $75,000 to $145,000. Compensation and benefits are competitive and based on background and work experience.
