A Business Analyst is responsible for developing and optimizing computer technology to increase business processes, work flow, operations and production. Business Analysts develop models, perform complex analyses and take on research assignments. They apply technical knowledge to business problems and present solutions to improve processes.

Business Analyst Job Description
Candidates for a Business Analyst position frequently have some or all of the following credentials:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related discipline
- 3+ years of relevant work experience may substitute for a college degree
- Minimum 1 year of software development experience with at least 2 years in a business analyst role
- Experience in multiple phases of software development and training or a technical writing background
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and resources in a dynamic environment across various sites and organize complex information
- Experience with project management methodology such as Agile
- Strong verbal, presentation and writing skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong data analysis skills
- High level knowledge of enterprise IT organizational, business, and technical environments
The average salary range for a Business Analyst is $75,000 to $150,000. Compensation and benefits are competitive and based on background and work experience.
